founded in 1932

IRULEA means "Spinner" in Basque.

The shop was founded in 1932 by Manuela Barandiaran.

It is a family shop located at Nº 7 Calle Mayor, in the heart of San Sebastián's old quarter where it has served the public since the beginning, conserving all the original furniture and decoration.

Since the beginning it has been dedicated to the sale of home textile products (sheets and pillowcases, table linen, hand made articles…)

In 1952 her daughter, Luisa Pagola Barandiaran, took over while today she has passed it on to her daughters Susana and Ayago Villar Pagola.

It is currently a textile shop specialising in baby goods, women's lingerie, home textile products and the sale of laces and fabrics by the meter.

In-house dressmaking for the majority of our articles allow us to personalize them according to the wishes of our clients, both in initial embroidery and different designs, which vary continuously.

We offer hand made articles in a wide variety of baby clothing as well as women's lingerie and home textile products.

What truly distinguishes Irulea from the other shops in the textile sector is that we can accommodate the desires and needs of our clients with three generations of experience.
